They remove the old cone, spider assembly, and voice coil; and install new
ones.  Basically, they keep only the metal parts.

A reconed speaker will likely sound different from the original, at least
until it's broken in.  If it's a vintage speaker, the materials are usually
different, and the sound will probably be, too.


Note: some pay by the byte for internet access, and all have to wade through
Harp-L, etc.  Instead of quoting what we've already seen, I prefer to
synopsize.  Here, I've targeted specifically what I'm replying to, and saved
a dozen lines of repetition, and made it easier to read in the process.
