Re: Vibrato

When we say that a voice naturally has a vibrato, it doesn't mean that
you done't have to learn it when learning singing, becuase when we start
learning to sing, we are not doing so naturally, we're putting all sorts
of strain in the voice. Once the voice is open and free, there will be a
vibrato.

Many conflicting things have been said about vibrato here, and a few of
the wrong in the tratitional musical way of speaking. From a classical
musician's point of view (and there are others):

Vibrato is mostly frequency modulation.

Tremolo has three meanings, two of which are closely related: 1) Rapid
repetition of a single note, 2) Rapid varitation in amplitude of a single
note, this is related to definition 1, and 3) Rapid alternation of two
non-adjacent notes, particuarly common with strings.

A trill is an alternation of two adjacent notes.

Again, this is the classical musician's way of defining these terms,
others use them more freely.
