Age, Harps, and more

I am a young harp player who is getting old (relatively speaking). I am 27
and have been blowing harp for about 10 years. I play regularly in the
Florida Keys with my band The Prime Movers. If in town keep an eye out for
the band, I'd like to meet some fellow Harp-L'ers.

I have primarily used Special 20's, but have become interested in checking
out the Marine Band again. All this talk about the virtues of the MB have
made me curious. I do not like Lee Oskar harps because they are too
*metallic and twangy* for my tastes. One question I do have is how to make
MB's more air tight? Some are fine, while others a awful. (Hmmm....I wonder
what the quality control criteria are at Hohner??)

As I mentioned, I live down in the Florida Keys (near Key West) and wonder if
there are any harmonica conventions and/or events slated for the south
Florida region. Thanks.

Keep Blowin'
Van
