Huey Lewis learned to play while 
hitchhiking across Europe the year he got out of high school.  He said 
that he became really comfortable with the harmonica in Spain, because 
"in Spain in 1968, if you had long hair you couldn't get a ride.  So it 
would literally be ten hours of standing by the side of the road with 
your thumb out."
