With regard to Champs and Bullets:

I have been playing through a '66 Vibro-Champ borrowed from a guitarist friend using a new Shure Green Bullet.
This has a nice tone to it - quite capable of sounding both sweet and nasty. This may be a very different animal
from a 5 year old Champ, however. I've played through a "Champ 12" of fairly recent manufacture which was too
clean and clinical for my taste. I recently acquired a '65 Gibson Skylark and I may be returning the Vibro-Champ
soon.... (These little amps are truly a steal - the current market value is about $150, compared to $250 or so for
similar vintage Fender Champs. If I had more cash I would stockpile these beauties.)
