Is the release you're talking about 'King Biscuit Time'?  If it is, I
can't say that it's not bluesy!  That's one of the best Sonny Boy II
recordings available and as it is also one of his earliest recordings
you hear what he was doing with a more stripped down pre-Chicago
sound.  I am going to have to go home and listen to that one tonight.
I have an old warped LP of that one.
