Ha! You guys want to come to England and get a *REAL* shock. We
have 240 volts, AC (50 Hz). Not this wimpy 110 V. On a good (bad) day
with our mains voltage you can pull 40 amps into yourself, if you are
unlucky. VERY nasty. :-(
I am informed that an electric shock is good for rheumatic problems.
As long as its not 40 Amps at 240 V. maybe, all I know is I don't like it!
I did once get a 128,000 volt shock (low current) from a bit of kit here
at work. It blew me right across the darkoom floor and into the wall! I
was photographing electrical discharge phenomena at the time, 4 floors
up, rubber soled shoes, thick rubber floor covering, rubber gloves and a
18 inch long wodden ruler as a probe to move the switches over with!
(I got a wonderful photo of the spark, you'll all be glad to know):-)

Bill, I just love this image. Heheheh.

36 V is the lowest voltage (at some current or other, I forget)
which has been known to kill a human.

As I said, you would not try this in England, unless you were
stupid, It could well kill you. (
(Who me? Did I mention roadies and stupid in one breath?):)
