Need to? You don't need to, but it doesn't hurt and is highly reccomended!!

Harp makers are cheaper than harp players, believe it or not.

A few, and everyone has their favorite. You should get a catalog from someone 
like Kevins Harps and see what is available.

You will need to tongue block for chording techniques. Some people do a 
mixture of both, lippin' for single notes and tonguein' for chords.
