error-riddled FAQ
Sorry Winslow/Rick-- I just read his topics when I posted. It does
basically suck :( I pulled it off the gopher when I searched FAQ. Agree
misinformation is worse than no information, however the downside of even
constructive criticism is that it may make potential contributers think
twice about submitting (intimidation factor). Where I come from, a not
atypical outcome of raising an issue is to get it assigned to you. Looks
like your 'it' Winslow :) :) Seriously, any time you (or anybody else)
can spend would be greatly appreciated. Posting an interim FAQ on the
gopher is still a good idea. Enough bandwidth on this.
I received the 'always has been' Magic Salwitz/Beauregard patent today. 35
figures (each with slightly different tuning), 40 paragraphs. I'll post
parts when I have time.
I have keyed in some Richter tuning diagrams that I'll post if anyone's
interested (ascii text), eg. it lays out the b3 (min3), the #4/b5 and b7
(dom 7) as useful overblow notes in first position blues (holes 1 and 4, 5
and 6 resp); and the b6(min6), 7 (maj7), and b3 (min3) similarly for second
position (and on through all 12 positions, incl. the overdraws and other
notes). May be appendable to Winslows excellent position discussion a
month or so ago (the one with the circle of 5ths :) Get busy out there.
