I just called CTI Audio the company that makes both the Blues Blaster and 
the JT30Vc.  They're both made in the same factory using similar parts.  
Hohner had nothing to do with the volume control faling apart Hugh.  
Sorry to disappoint you.  Maybe it's some kind of curse deal with 
Hohner.  Possibly an excorcism in ivolving upper management would help.  FJM
