Re: Airtightness
Has anyone tried treating their wooden combs to deal with moisture?

| Is that a word, airtightness? Oh well. Some of the airleakage on a Marine
| Band comes from the cover not fitting properly. But a lot of it comes from
| the gaps between the comb and the reedplate as well. The more moisture
| trapped in the wood comb, the more likely it is to warp, every so slightly,
| but enough to create an air leak. You can still blow harp with no covers,
| but it gets tough when you lose air between the reedplate and the comb.
