bruce makes several good points here.  being in the monitors is great for 
figuring out the overall balance.  i also play with horns.  recently at 
an outside gig my whole band was complaining that i wasn't loud enough.  
in the house i was just right but onstage the sound just kept on going on 
out to the house.  the second set solution was to line out the amp and 
put it into the monitor mix.  worked like a charm.  thanks for a great
