Re: Omer, are you in Israel?

hi jack.
basically i don't believe in telepathy, but i was about to post a few
words concerning the adler trio,so what can i say, pure coincidence
or mind reading.the adler trio had some great years in the past, but
somehow forgot to adjust themselves along the way to various styles
of playing and the market demands.in my opinion, they sound too cermonial
and many times, anachronistics.sure, they master the harp,no doubt about
it,but i personnaly feel that fabulous technique does not cover for
soul and necessary innovation.as it looks right now, they won't break the
circles in which they move, eldery fans who show appreciation on sentimental
basis as opposed to pro-musical values grounds.my intention was to post
a general question that goes like "has anybody heard of..",i guess they
already gained a world-wide publicity,so this is for everybody:
the Adler trio ,probably available at a cd- store near you, and as many
music critics in israel use this expression,(i'll do my best to keep it
alive through the translation process !)- " run very close to the ears, but
does'nt scratch".
             take care u all
                      omer riff,t.a univ. ,israel
