Sorry for the incomplete message I sent earlier. I've read that Sonny Boy Williamson (Rice Miller) kept a bucket on stage into which he constantly spat blood. If his mechanics were faulty, his sound was not. And he lived to a ripe old age, despite his ravaged tongue. All that whiskey, no doubt, acted as an antiseptic. Ted Allbritton
