Re: mics and valves and stuff



Thanks for the response on the mics -- I'm going to start looking
around ham radio type places too -- $110 is a bit steep. He said he
had already contacted some harp players about the mic so I imagine
it'll go fast. He claimed to have sold some to Kim Wilson.

I seem to have picked up a very old Autovalve harp if it's true that
the leather valves were suspended many years ago. I got it at a flea
market for $5. The reeds are still there but most of the valves are
rotted away. It's not playable, of course, but I've sort of started
collecting old & unusual harps.
