[Harp-L] How important is it to be able to read music?

I am a horrible staff reader, but can sight read chord changes on guitar
(for the most part).

Everything that helps you understand music makes you a better musician--
And every harp player should aspire to be a musician, it makes us all look
better.

I personally like Winslow Yerxa's tab fonts (Fletch for diatonic and
Chromatic Sans for chromatic) when notating harmonica--but still, no rhythm
information. That can be limiting--but here's the link anyway . . .

Much music played on harmonica is tough to notate, but learning to read and
write music helps establish the fundamentals of music.
