Lee Schwing has been the co-front man (as the redoubtable character of
?Elwood Blues?), blowing blues harp with Briefcase Blues? for the last 32
years. As he has opted to retire from public performance, we really need to
find the perfect guy to fill his shoes in the North Texas area.

We are Dallas-Fort Worth based, and the perfect candidate will need to be
someone who lives in the Dallas area, but we perform all across the United
States (and sometimes out of country. The other details of who we?re looking
for are in the info below. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My contact information (and the websites that feature our band) can be found
at the bottom of this email.

?JAKE? is looking for ?ELWOOD?

March 19, 2016
I am the founder / director and lead vocalist ("Jake Blues") of Briefcase
Blues <http://www.briefcaseblues.com/> . We have the distinction of being
the first band to ever do a tribute to the Blues Brothers (begun in
September of 1983). While we are based out of Dallas-Fort Worth, we perform
shows anywhere we are called - from local annual concert series to
international venues in Mexico, Canada and Japan. We utilize an eight-piece
backing band (bass, guitar, keys, drums, tenor sax, bari sax, trumpet and
trombone) to bring about the real sound of the original band .

The role of "Elwood" has been essayed by Lee Schwing since 1983, and we've
never looked for an understudy or replacement for him until now (a fine
blues harp player for over 3 decades). Just about 2 weeks ago he said that
he was ready to retire. After his 30 years of dedication it's a pity he
wants to ?hang it up?, but he has personal concerns and health issues with
which he?s dealing, and asked directly that I find a replacement for him.

We have gigs booked (and pending) for this year, plus brand-new interest
from several agencies (casinos, corporate events) that are actively
marketing us for 2016-17. Our next gig is May 28th for the Highland Village
Concert Series.

Requirements for the rôle of "Elwood" (besides blues-harp ability, of
course) are:

*	Caucasian male
*	Lanky build / 5'11" to 6'1"
*	age range: 35 to 55
