I had to miss Jason's performance (and that of my student Jack Pawlakos, who had a cameo between Jason's set and that of Kim Wilson) because I was performing at the same time in the Melody Concert on the second stage.
I talk to Jason all the time as co-producer of he Harmonica Collective, but it was great hanging with him, and also spending a little time with Todd Edmunds, who was so much in demand at the 2010 SPAH convention playing fretless, standup, and tuba with several of our performers. Todd had to split after Jason's set to a a gig in Philly with Otis Taylor, while Jason had to jet off to a performance with Billy Branch and ÂSugar Blue - so we were fortunate to have them both in the same place at the same time!ÂWinslow Yerxa

It was good to see Jason back after an absence of many years. His musical message was loud and clear. A legitimate star performer like none other.
