Re: [Harp-L] Suggestions

Hi, Chris,

Funny you should ask. I just got back from the hardware store with some blank switch plate covers, and from my local big-box store with a tiny flask of bbs, so as to make a homemade foot percussion thingie as shown in this video:

Start at the 00:57 point if you want to listen to less ukelele and more “how-to”. Although ukelele is always fun, imho. (Hi, Madcat!)

Some assembly required.

Now, what I really want is an inexpensive, compact, foot percussion thingie that will make a single resounding clack (or thump), such as might have been made by the bottom of Scott Joplin’s shoe while playing “Stoptime Rag” in the front parlor of a brothel. "Like a single castanet for my right foot,” might be another way to describe what I’m thinking of. Since you ask.

Obharp: I have never busked -- on harp or anything else -- but I admire the courage of people who do.

Best,
Tin Lizzie

But I've been trying to think of harmonica related things that I could make whether it be display cases, road gear, things for guys that like busking such as compact fold up seating, etc. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions. If so please send me an email, I'd like to hear what you think. Just looking for new things to do is all and I'd like to include my woodworking more.
