RE: [Harp-L] Hole order to learn overblows? 6 blow then what?

Hi,

Quest 1 : all holes from 1 to 6.
Quest 2 : 6, then 4, then 5, then 1 (all other holes are duplicated notes).
Quest 3 : down approx. 0,25 of a tone above the draw hole
Up : sky is the limit. I can get a G# from the hole 4 (well, the sound is awful, but I can get quite good G).

I would also suggest to learn at least the overdraw in 7Â.
In case you play blues (I do this assumption because it is the case for a lot of harp players), 6Â & 7Â are very useful to go to the upper holes.

Have fun !

Objet : [Harp-L] Hole order to learn overblows? 6 blow then what?

Well I'll be darn'd. I think I just learned how to over blow hole 6... and on a Lee Oskar believe it or not.

Maybe it is just the way this particular LO is... I'll experiment on others and report.

Meanwhile... here are my Over blow questions...

1 - Which holes can normally be "over blown" ?

I've Hoogled it but got confusing answers.

2 - Which learning order... most easy to least easy?

3 - when the hole is over blown... how far up or down does it go? half step? whole step? what?

thanks for the help.
