[Harp-L] Ashby Method

It appears Neil Ashby has led us on a wild goose chase with a bogus overbending method.
To date, no one on Harp-L seems to have gotten anywhere with his method AFAIK.

In a FB message, I told him he was facing heavy skepticism from the pros on Harp-L. After 16 years here, I know of no other community with as much collective harmonica expertise as this group.

His reply was was "Real Pros like Ronnie Shellist (at Hohner) and Bertram Becher (at Seydel)
and others have sent absolutely positive feedback; I am not seeing any
"heavy skepticism" from other than 3 or 4 people.

I wrote to Ronnie Shellist to see if he had verified Neil's technique and received the following rely:
"Yes Neil has written to me. I congratulated him for the praise he told
me he received by others. I don't believe I ever actually "confirmed
that it works". So, not sure what to say about that. I doubt he has
"invented" a new approach to overblowing."

I also wrote to Bertram but have not heard back. I suspect his answer would be similar.

Evidently Neil is a homeless person in the Boston area who uses a library computer. He self-identifies as a "targeted individual." If you look into this term it gets pretty sketchy.

I'm sorry if this causes Neil any pain. But I think this has been a charade that needs to end.
