Re: [Harp-L] Instead of Re-tuning

Except you end up with "spare parts." Who needs more spare parts?

Better yet, just order the Paddy Richter to start with from Seydel -- or anybody else who makes/customizes them. Probably cheaper than ordering two M-M Oskars.

Subject: [Harp-L] Instead of Re-tuning

One option to remember instead of re-tuning appeared on Harp-L six years ago and
is worth repeating:

From: Ken Hildebrand <airmojoken@xxxxxxxxx>:

"Without retuning reeds, you can get both a Paddy
Richter harp and a Country-tuned harp by buying a Lee
Oskar Major tuned and a Lee Oskar Melody Maker and
switching the top reed plates."

That trick might even account for most of Lee's M-M sales.
