Re: [Harp-L] Reed plates: Seydel and Lee Oskar

You heard wrong.

Seydel reeds are spaced farther apart than other brands, including Lee Oskar, Suzuki, Hohner, and Hering. Consequently, the slots in non-Seydel combs will not fit the placement of Seydel reed.

I haven't compared reed dimensions. In the past, Pat Missin has published lists of reed dimensions at patmissin.com, but a recent search didn't turn it up - perhaps with the proliferation of manufacturers and models in recent years it's been too difficult to keep up.

I hear that Seydel plates fit Lee Oskar combs.

Can LO reeds be used to replace Seydel reeds? (riveted, not welded)
