Re: [Harp-L] Harp with bluegrass

The other excellent bluegrass player not mentioned is Buddy Greene. He can play almost anything and is, I feel, very underrated.
And an under the radar guy who goes by Wailing Wood is also pretty good with real bluegrass.

Stevens is a monster in a lot of different styles, bluegrass among them. He's authored books on the art of playing bluegrass harp, he's performed on a number of occasions at the Grand Ole Oprey, and he's recorded with a number of different bluegrass bands.

Stevens played in that session, and both Paparozzi and Ruth commented to me afterward about how fresh and powerful his playing was. I recall it as one of the most thrilling things I ever heard from any harmonica player.
