Yeah, I love that "doink" too (though I think it sounds more like a "quack"). Lots of Pre-War and Old-Timey players use it to good effect.


I think what Ken means by "using his tongue" is that no breath is required to make the harp "quack like a duck." Just a rapid withdrawal of the tongue from the front to the back of the mouth. Sort of like a piston action. And then well-timed hand effects can accentuate the effect, Sonny Terry-style.
