[Harp-L] SPIRAL HARPS by the right name!

PLEASE be willing to label and refer to your Spirals by its fundamental
scale. I can't stress this enough.

Seydel could have named harp keys as "Fred" and "Lucille" or they could
have stamped them by the BLOW 10 hole note. It is simply a historical
reference to standard harps that DO contain the fundamental scale from BLOW
1. It is common, arbitrary, and not universal. Spirals do not follow that
convention.

(Spiral tuning could have just as easily started its fundamental scale on
any other hole, blow or draw,)

SEYDEL REPS and retailers:
Seydel will find marketing Spirals more effective when they change that
label to reflect the fundamental scale (Draw 2). It will be clear and
direct for players to buy the harp they want to hear. It will happen when
Seydel finds that the change is more profitable than the cost of changing
factory procedures.

(Yes, and then we will have to delineate Spiral harps as "pre-change date"
and "post-change date.")
