Changing established terminology seldom works.
This has been tried before, by the way. Several years ago on harp-l, Mike Will (aka Myquill) tried to change the names of overblows and overdraws. Nothing came of it.
Similarly, a few years ago some of us tried to change "richter tuning" to "German Major". (Why? Richter is a type of construction, not a tuning: all the blow reeds on one plate, all the draw reeds on another, a single channel directing air to one blow above and one draw reed below (as opposed to having blow and draw reeds side by side on the same plate and additional dividers between the top and bottom (Knittlinger construction used in octave and chromatic harmonicas) and between side-by-side reeds (Wiener construction, sued in tremolo harmonicas)). But not much came of that, either.
My suggestion? Don't waste time trying to change established terms. There are better uses for your time and energy.

Well I guess now that you've asked, I don't like the term "upbend". I think
overblow (holes 1-6) and overdraw (holes 7-10) are fine. But I'm not gonna
argue about it, especially if I'm going to be held responsible for the death
ray...
