Re: [Harp-L] Sinus Surgery and Harmonica

I have had sinus surgery, I've always had bad sinuses. Now post surgery I can breathe much better. So harp playing made no contribution to my condition, but the surgery has helped my nasal breathing while playing.

I used to get 3-4 sinus infections a year, now hardly ever.

Good luck w/ the surgery, I'd do it again if I had the choice.

Thanks Jerry,

Subject: [Harp-L] Sinus Surgery and Harmonica

I'm told i need to have surgery to restore drainage to my left maxillary sinus (the one behind the cheekbone). Apparently "negative pressure" has caused bone to grow and closed it off, resulting in frequent and severe sinus infections. Does anyone on this list have any experience with recovering from this surgery in terms of playing harmonica and/or harmonica playing contributing to this condition? Thanks, emily
