[Harp-L] Harp Clubs or Groups in Tampabay

Hi Gordon:

I saw your post on harp-l. I live in Clearwater. You don't mention if you
are a diatonic guy looking for a blues fix or a chromatic guy looking for
chromatic clubs. It is a mixed bag of tricks. The blues harmonica scene is
alive and well in Tampa Bay. There are lots of clubs featuring blues
artists as well as open mics and jam sessions. However there does not seem
to be a real active group of blues harmonica players that meet as a club or
a group.

>From what I can tell most of the active harmonica groups in the area consist
of chromatic players. Here's a link to a website that has a pretty
extensive list. I have no idea how up to date it is but it is a good start.

The Suncoast Blues Society is a very active organization with a website that
is always up to date and a bi-monthly publication.

The North Central Florida Blues Society in Gainesville is always putting out
information on their FaceBook Page:

Best of luck. Look me up sometime if you want to talk harp.
