[Harp-L] Recreation of Bobby Gentry's classic 'Ode To Billie Joe' album

I'm honored to be selected as a member of The Lower 40, a band of
exceptional Philadelphia musicians assembled to recreate the legendary
album 'Ode To Billie Joe'--which just happens to have harmonica on every
save one. The reason we're doing this is for the release party of a book
chronicling the album as well as the formidable woman behind it, Bobbie
Gentry. Tara Murtha wrote about her and her classic album (which bumped the
Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper' off the top of the charts) as part of Bloomsbury's 33
1/3 <https://www.facebook.com/33.3books> franchise studying iconic rock
records. Gentry's music is as intriguing as her life, so it has been fun to
learn these songs of hers and a real honor to play them with the amazing
talent comprising the band: Phil DâAgostino (bandleader, bass), Brad Hinton
(guitar), Ross Bellenoit (guitar), Matt Muir (drums), Jay Ansill (strings),
Larry Toft (horns), Carl Bahner (vibraphone), Birdie Busch (vocals), Kerry
Hallett (vocals), Allison Polans (vocals), Dusty Springfield (vocals),
Susan Rosetti (vocals), Ali Wadsworth (vocals).

We'll be performing the full album twice tomorrow (Friday): The first will
be as part of Wxpn's Free At Noon @ World Cafe Live
<https://www.facebook.com/pages/Wxpns-Free-At-Noon-World-Cafe-Live/409754595732529>,
which will also be broadcast live over WXPN 88.5 and streamed online too.
The second concert will be at Underground Arts
<https://www.facebook.com/UndergroundArtsPhilly> as part of the actual book
release party.
