[Harp-L] "the zip code for middle C"

I am grateful to Winslow and Vern for filling me in on the location of
middle C. It is a great comfort to have the opinion/judgement of the
Maestro(s)

It was an added bonus to be told that good old A =440Hz. Is the one above
middle C.

I have a vague memory that somewhere in the James Reilly manual it said that
blow 1 on the 12 hole chromatic was really middle C, but that for practical
reasons one read and played it one octave up on hole 5. I need to read the
book again from cover to cover to see whether I am just imagining this.

I had heard before somewhere that Captain James Reilly was Tommy Reilly's
father, but did not really believe it until Winslow confirmed it. When I
bought Captain Reilly's book all those years ago it was about the only
resource available to a would be harmonica player. You guys nowadays - and
me for that matter are spoiled for choice. Not only have you Winslow's two
masterworks, but you can even get free tuition on YouTube.
