Sorry, not meaning to be a killjoy, but I fought valiantly with one of those a couple of decades ago -- lost every time. Tried equalizers, various mics, prayers and what have you. 

  A Feedback Monster that should rightly be handed in to the nearest police station. It was so so for guitar -- but anyway functional. 

  I finally managed to trade mine in for an old Traynor, a marginal improvement, admittedly, but it reduced my stress levels to a point where I could at least look at it without hearing that insistent howl. 

  At the time of purchase I was fooled by the words "Fender" and "Champ".
