[Harp-L] Playing the Thing - The Harmonica documentary

Hello everybody,

A few days back my good friend Abe Thomas shared a Youtube link to the
harmonica documentary "Playing the Thing". This documentary was made 42
years ago by my good friend Chris Morphet a well known professional
cameraman in London and a harmonica enthusiast. I was involved in the
making of that film and Chris left the 16mm film with me for all these
years. A few years back I contacted National Harmonica League of UK and
donated the 16mm film. Roger Trobridge of NHL decided to digitize the film.
What I didn't know was that he obtained the copyright for the film and
obtained nearly 8 hours of unedited footage from Chris. Roger has been busy
editing the unedited footage and he plans to release a DVD in future. He is
working with the British Film Institute.
Obviously he was quite alarmed to see the YT video I had uploaded -
unknowingly of course of his recently acquired copyright. He asked me to
take it down and sadly I had to do that.

To all you folks my sincere apologies not being able to find it !

I sincerely hope that Roger will soon inform us about the much enlarged
version of "Playing the Thing".

In the mean time I discovered another wonderful hour-long harmonica
documentary "Tin Sandwich" (I haven't uploaded it !) and I thought all you
guys may enjoy it.
