Agree with wood comment, but better constructed now with sealed combs then back in the day. As in my 1956 MB
My much more recent MB is now made of pear wood and sealed. My Seydel pro is a wood comb too but sealed as well.

What you say may not all be true. The old Marine Band (not the Deluxe and Crossovers which are coated), Blues Harps and I believe some of the Seydels are made with wood combs.

Agreed. Rockin' Rons.
But no Sp. 20s for $3.58....those days are definitely long gone so are the old wood combs and construction from back in the day. And all the bloody lips! Those were the days.

A friend who is starting out on harmonica asks where to buy his Special 20s, and I am flummoxed! Kevin's harps charging $42! Yikes! I still have dozens of old harps I keep resurrecting, haven't had to buy one in years, I saw Musicians Friend at $39, good grief. Is that where they're at now? I recall in 1970 or so buying a harp with a bag of 358 pennies . . .

So, where to send my pal for a single harp (yes I know MF has sets of 6 for about 30 each, but he wants just one)?
