Re: [Harp-L] SPAH50 and Michel Herblin ...

It was Robert "Sunnyside" Koch who took the initiative to approach me last year about bringing Michel Herblin to the 2013 SPAH convention, and we worked out a way to make it possible. Normally the cost of overseas travel is prohibitive for us, and Robert worked out a way to make it feasible.

SPAH is fortunate that several overseas artists can secure funding from umber of sources, such as grants in their home nations, sponsoring manufacturers, and sometimes their own businesses. In addition to Michel, we were favored this year with the presence and playing of Steve Baker, Koei Tanaka, Tomoya Ouchi, Filip Jers, Marko Balland, and Brendan Power. Next year we'll also have some artists from overseas, but I'll save that news for later.

In fact I made a mistake by writting that this year Michel Herblin was invited by SPAH, so I need to correct here.
This is Robert Koch (Bob for most of the people there) persuaded Michel Herblin to come to SPAH and which allowed him to make trip, including expenses... I thought of origin that the presence of Michel Herblin was on the initiative of SPAH... But who knows a day can be, for this wonderful International meeting ;)
