Underrated, over rated? The only thing that really counts is if a lot of people like your work. I'd rather be a guy like Dylan than a musician's musician. He affected a whole generation. Technical proficiency is just that. The whole point of any kind of art is to touch other people. Otherwise, it's just wanking.
