I follow the Miles Davis concept. Once I learn a tune, I don't practice. I have practiced enough. I do my practicing on stage. This isn't a good method. Why? Here's proof. I once played a spah with the following results.
1...Phillip Achille...10 years later...famous
2...Gregoire Maret.10 years later..famous
3...Fred Yonnett.....10 years later..famous
4...Joe Leone.........10 years later..still cellophane
