[Harp-L] crossover replacement parts

I have a Hohner crossover in the key of D that just had a #5 draw reed
seemingly "go bad" overnight. No warning, just suddenly very flat. Took it
apart and made sure nothing was stuck, but it doesn't change. I don't play
that hard, and it's only about a year old, I'd guess. So, two questions;
what else can I do to make try to fix it, and if I can't, are crossover
reed plates available anywhere other than on Hohner's website, which wants
more for them ($63) than I paid for the harp in the first place!
