My father has always been an avid lover of the music from all of Ken Burns' films. One song he loves in particular was by Phil Cunningham on the soundtrack of 1997's Lewis & Clark: The Journey of the Corps of Discovery. It's called "When Summer Ends", and it too has a lot of the same feel of Ashokan Farewell. It was one of the first songs I taught myself to play on harp. Here's a strings ensemble performing it.
