[Harp-L] re: players to listen to

I guess the majority of players listed have been known players. It is my wish that the good folks here listen to some of the players who have inspired me yet are not "house hold" names. For my money, they should be.

I was just lucky to live near these guys and not a single one had ever blown me off when I started asking questions of them and that goes back to 1971.

Throughout the years these players have considered me good enough to share the stage with them and that folks, is what dreams are made of.

Westside Andy

You can see them all on youtube.

Then there is Howard.

He doesn't live that far away and plays close enough, 2-3 times a year for me to see/video him. With his permission I may record him with the caveat that I not put it on youtube. I may never get to be the musician that Howard is and I mentioned to him that it can be depressing hearing someone so brilliant and fluid, but I gain some knowledge every time I hear him, that in a couple of days I feel ok because I walked away a better player.

I guess I'm just a lucky so and so.
