Yes, you are correct... the LO Melody Maker is labeled in 2nd position, so a D Melody Maker is based on the G Major reed plates with the altered 3 blow, 5 & 9 draw reeds.

Somebody on the list please help me out.
I want to order LO Melody Maker reed plates that will allow me to play in the key of D. Should I order G replacements?  I can't remember how these are labeled, except I know it's different.  Seems to me I should order in G to play second position D songs?
