Re: [Harp-L] Chromatic vs. Diatonic harps

A chromatic has a sound/tone that a diatonic cannot produce.

Also, a chromatic has three octaves that are laid out almost
identically. A diatonic has three octaves that all all different from
one another. Therefore a chromatic can play a melody in 3 different
octaves with the only tonal difference being the pitch, whereas the
diatonic will have a myriad of tonal differences as you play the same
melody in the three different octaves.

Also, moving the button in and out while continuing to either blow or
draw will create a variety of effects that the diatonic cannot
produce.
