Great news that you are coming to your first SPAH Convention!
Fact is there are all styles of blues are represented at the jams.
The larger organized jams definitely stick to more basic stuff because
they are designed for EVERYONE to participate. The "side" jams can
serve up anything and everything. Some are real heavy duty with more
sophisticated stuff but many many are like the larger jams, INVITING
and FUN!
