Playing the chromatic or diatonic after a meal or snack causes oral
enzymes to be very active and the mouth is acidic and dry. That alone
can affect the metallic properties.

We are all different, some of us need more lubrication than others.
There are ecofriendly lip gloss products or you can try ACT mouth
rinse. Everything else that was said about- "no pain no gain" is right
on spot.
