Re: [Harp-L] Congrats/Great Weekend Ahead/Honokowai music? (NHC)

Robert;
non harmonica post here!

I have a great Harmonica playing cousin( Ryan Walters) in hawaii but he moved from Maui to the Big Island.

Sounds like you will be on Maui..
.
Our very own ( lived in Santa Cruz too) George Kahumoku hosts a great music event Wed. nights...new guests for each show...
He is a great guy and slack key master player and guitar instructor...( he gives lessons)
I post this so others might check George ( keoki) Kahumoku out when on maui..Brother Nolan (father of Jawaiian music) is a guest there Wed..night ( very lively)
 but no harmonica..
these performers are legends of the Slack Key and Ukelele ( many have won prestigious Hoku awards)
If you can contact George he will let you know wazup.

be careful of tourist pricing...etc...not sure here....( ask George how to get into the show)...
if you get the whole package...$80 food / lei...etc...hula show?
I am sure you can just get into the music for half that...or even better...( ask about kamaaina rates)
Aloha Robert...have a great time...
