It's really a matter of personal preference in response and tonal qualities. The 
1847 to me has a more burning, brawny sound than the Lee Oskar, while the 
response feels more weighted while still being quite agile.

If you're happy with the sound and response of what you're playing and 
durability is not a problem, then the only reason to try something else is 
curiosity.

As the Seydel 1847 costs considerably more than the Lee Oskar what are the
advantages? I know the steel reeds are supposed to last longer, but I don't
blow out harps very often. Anyone play both of them and willing to post a
comparison?
