[Harp-L] Re: Who are the top blues harp pros?

The original question was relevant. And also a rather relevant list of less than forty pros was posted. Then came the discussion on who has made most money. Which lead to mentions of Toots Thielemans, Stevie Wonder, Charlie McCoy who are by no definition blues harp players, no matter how talented they may be. I understand the term "pro" to mean those that are most talented in the said genre. In most cases it also means a decent income. From the mentioned names John Mayall has played a lot, and Mick Jagger some harp which, by definition is blues. But their impact on the music world is somewhere else than being top blues harp pros. Al "Blind Owl" Wilson was also mentioned. If gone harp players are included, the list begins with Little Walter, Walter Horton, George Smith, William Clarke, Sonny Boy Williamson, Junior Wells and many others.
