RE: [Harp-L] Re: Marine Band Lifespan

My D harp is the one that blow hole #4 a LOT. I use plain old Marine Bands or Special 20 or Lee Oskar most of the time. Steve is right. When I was doing mostly country gigs this did not seem to happen but since playing blues for the last decade or two, my attack is way different and if I am getting washed out by the rest of the band, I play too hard.

"manufactured things these days are far more
reliable than they were back in the '60s.."

Mostly true but then I remembered, "oh yeah, what about that Fender buy out by CBS". Well, some things "they just dont make 'em like thet used to". However, the key word is "reliable". With manufacturers being held to ISO & such, the proceedures make the manufacturing process "reliable" and consistant. I'll bet Leo would have made "lesser" amps if held to ISO.
