Re: [Harp-L] The Wonderful Internet

I want to add my voice to the crowd. I was very impressed with Buddy
Greene's performance. I have been impressed and enjoyed many of the
performances of his I have seen on youtube. I often wonder if there is a
spectrum of musical performance analysis that goes from technical excellence
to artistic excellence. I tend to look at music as an art and so harmonica
competitions do not make sense to me. Yet others tend to look at it as an
issue of skill and therefore competition makes total sense. It is, the same
reason that some people like Andrew Wyeth and others like Pablo Picasso. I
like Buddy Green and have no idea why anyone would think that it was
horrible. I hope I never play in front of suck critics.
