Vern has a point with his ring thing. I'd never wanna play it, but there is a market of people who would like a push/pull slide. Harmonicas are like making love, no matter what crazy situation you can think up, there's somebody out there who is really into doing it that way. 
People who play their harmonicas like a solo-tuned diatonic. There are a lot of these people. They would like it. Also, the folks who turn their slides upside down Irish-style might potentially like it.
